When Michelle Huggins, owner of the beloved Lazy Tulip Café, learned she needed to move out of her long-time MacLaren Street location, it could have been a stressful transition. But thanks to the keen ear and quick thinking of Angela McKeown, Sales Representative with the Melchior Real Estate Team, a perfect solution fell into place.

While visiting the Lazy Tulip, Angela overheard Michelle discussing the challenge of relocating. Recognizing the opportunity, Angela suggested one of our available units at 190 Cundles Road East — a building professionally managed by Melchior Management.

That introduction set everything in motion. Michelle soon realized the space was not only a great fit for the café, but also the perfect chance to bring her long-time friend Matthew Jones, owner of The Midway Diner, under the same roof. The two, friends for nearly 40 years, will now combine their talents and culinary visions into one exciting new chapter at 190 Cundles.

Michelle plans to open the Lazy Tulip’s new location in October, and by mid-December Matthew will officially join her — closing the Midway Diner and becoming part of the new Lazy Tulip home at 190 Cundles.

This move is more than just a relocation — it’s a story of community, collaboration, and connection, made possible through the dedication of Angela and the Melchior Real Estate Team.
